Young Migrant Workers Gather for Lunch at Pt Augusta

A group of young workers gathered together for lunch in Pt Augusta. Everyone brought something for the lunch, and all helped prepare the meal and cleaned up afterwards.

All were young migrant workers - four from Vietnam and one from Nigeria. The major issue focussing most people’s thoughts was around visas.  Young migrant workers are acutely aware of the types of visas, and the requirements for that elusive Permanent Residence visa.

The lunch was a belated Christmas lunch, which had to be called off because one had to go back to Sydney, one got called into work, and two others slept through the day - tired from their long hours of work and study.
