Survival Day: 2024

After last year's success, Adelaide YCW ran yet another incredible event for 2024 and it was run together in partnership with local Aboriginal young people and Elders, funded by the Australia Day Council. It was an opportunity to be present and learn from First Nations people Elder and young, and to stand in solidarity on such a day with our multicultural community. Throughout the day, we were able to hear from strong voices such as John, Ema and Raijeli who shared their stories and struggles of First Nation People and their own reflections on the Referendum results. Through this opportunity, the participants has decided to take an action to come together on a regular interval to organise workshops on increasing awareness about the First Nations People, their Culture, Arts and Spirituality with the community.
