Melbourne YCW Connect Dinner

YCW Connect and Reconnect Dinner was held in Melbourne on Saturday 29th October at the Treacy Centre. An opportunity for former YCW members, YCW Holdings board members and current YCW members to connect together. Young workers who are family and friends of people in the YCW community were invited to connect and learn more about the YCW.

Over the course of the evening, we heard from three young workers as they shared their experience of being the the YCW, and being leaders of the movement. A Youth Food Project cooking demonstration was a highlight of the evening, with dinner guests being quizzed on food safety while YFP participants chopped, and prepared ingredients for rice paper rolls.

We acknowledged the outgoing members of the YCW Holdings board and the longstanding contribution they have made. We also welcomed the new board members.

It was a fantastic evening and really showcased the changing face of the YCW movement in Melbourne in 2022. An interfaith and multicultural movement of young people, in a fast paced and ever changing world.
