The YCW is concerned about the situation of refugees and asylum seekers in Australia.
GET INVOLVED in one of our many programs in our Refugee and Asylum Seeker Campaign;
- Free computer classes
- Free English classes with tutors
- Homework centres for refugees and asylum seekers and their children
- Inexpensive or free social activities such as sport and picnics
- School talks
- Public forums
- Multicultural food stalls
- Public advocacy and lobbying
- Submissions to government
GET INVOLVED in a range of Community Building Campaign activities
- Communication skills workshops
- Public speaking workshops
- Affordable social activities
- NO TV Week - encouraging people to switch off their televisions and to get to know the people around them
- Know your Neighbour campaign - local activities such as street parties to encourage neighbours to get to know each other
